Pediatric Clinical Trials, What We’re Talking About This Week!

1.   Nearly half of pediatric clinical trials go unfinished or unpublished

Legislation to encourage children’s participation in clinical trials seems to be working but does not lead to positive results.  A large majority of clinical trials including children are not completed or published according to a new study.

2.  The push for more clinical research data sharing is paying off

Ideally, clinical data would always be made available to all researchers in hopes of speeding medical advances. It has gotten better, but according to the research community, there is plenty of work that still needs to be done!

3.  Alzheimer’s biochip blood test as accurate as molecular Dx

Positive results from a recent study show that a new biochip-based blood test can help identify patients at a higher risk for Alzheimer’s disease just as accurately as the standard molecular diagnostic test.
